More India pics

I think this picture captures India perfectly- the colours, the dirty laundry, the shirtless men, the grime . . . the stray cows . . .


I just like this photo for the colours. The big sheets of cloths are saris drying out in the sun. They've just been washed by the dobiwallas in the Ganges which contains more coliform bacteria (like E. coli) than I care to think about. All the sewage from the city and nearby villages drain into it. Not to mention the dead body pyres just downstream. NOT COOL.



This is a pic of all the silly men posing for us while we were paddling past in our boat. My personal favorite is the guy flexing in the middle of the pic. Super classy. Just downstream, people are dipping dead bodies into the river and then burning them and dumping the ashes into the water.



One of the many yogis/gurus/whatever meditating on the banks of the Ganges. These guys have the craziest hair and beards. This dude's already quite conservative.
