Home on the Range.
It's yet another pic of the field across from our house, but this is the field during sunset. Sort of looks like Saskatchewan except there wouldn't be the trees and hills in Saskatchewan. (Yes, there are hills in this picture. After a year in Saskatchewan, you count any mound taller than 2 feet off the ground a hill. Check out the distant left hand side of the picture. Use your rocky-mountain spoiled imaginations people!)
I was trying to capture how pretty the prairies are at sunset. Everything sort of glows and the colours become so vivid it's like you're living in a surreal painted canvas-land. Unfortunately, my camera isn't nice enough to bring out all the colours. The most you can achieve from photos is a sort of superficial beauty anyway. Nothing replaces the real thing.
