Nekked No More

Was really bored the other day and decided I couldn't take my dad's gaudy naked mermaid fountain on my front lawn anymore. Sad that my old bra fits her perfectly. More naked mermaid pics are to come as soon as I figure out what else to dress her up in. I definitely have too much time on my hands.

In other news, Thinh and Hugh were nice enough to help me set up a wireless internet connection in my house. I now can prance around all over the house with my laptop and message people on MSN. I draw the line at taking my laptop into the loo with me so no worries on that matter.

Today is Mother's day and in a bout of post-coffee energy, I told my mom I would make her a lobster dinner tonight. I didn't really realise how unfeasible this promise was until I was standing at the lobster tank in T&T supermarket this afternoon trying desperately to be coldhearted and pick a lobster out of the crowd with my tongs. I reached my tongs into the tank, and all those beady little arthropod eyes stared back at me going "DON'T EAT ME! DON'T EAT ME! I'VE GOT A WIFE AND KIDS AT HOME!"

I finally took a deep breath and clamped at one which kept squirming around and then managed to clip onto the grid on the bottom of the tank and would not let go for the world as if making a last ditch stand against the inevitable. It just looked so desperate I had to let it go. I ended up choosing the smaller one beside it. Karen didn't help matters as she was all "Go for that one. That one looks like a baby." I felt awful. What has vet school done to me? I used to be able to kill sea creatures without the blink of an eye. I'm going soft!!!!!

Anyhow, the lobsters are sitting in my fridge awaiting their doom. I'm going to wait till my dad gets home to do the killing.

A sad sweet moment of silence for the innocent lobsters. Their own damned fault for being so succulent and yummy. Damned crustaceans. Stop toying with my emotions!!!!!
