It's a bird! It's a plane! It's . . . UDDERMAN!

It's been almost a week now since my debate and people are still stopping me in the hallway to tell me what my group should have said and why we sucked. "When the opposing team said [whatever] that shouldn't have stopped you! you should've gone . . . " etc etc etc.

I basically had to duck into the microbiology wing of the college just to get away from some grad student who wouldn't let me go. I eventually looked around till the coast was clear and then when I came out of microbiology, he ended up finding me again and talked at me all the way to the door of the building where I beat a hasty retreat.

Honestly people! IT WAS JUST A DEBATE! An amateur debate for that matter. ABOUT PIGS! PIGS! I ASK YOU!

So yeah.

I guess my team really stunk.

On the other hand, I did have some people stop me and tell me that I was both "intimidating" and "tenacious" and that the opposition was scared of me and that they thought I should have been our team leader cus I was so scary and mean.
"I'm a nice person! I SWEAR!" they looked skeptical.

It's like being an actor and getting mixed reviews. You just hope to believe the good ones are true and try to laugh at the bad ones and hope that the pressure of being in the public eye won't drive you to join a cult or date people three times younger than oneself.

In other news, the latest buzz in Saskatoon is that a rooster was found in the parking lot of the local Walmart. Sigh, only in Saskatoon. (Sheila, you sure you want to come out here?)

Some person found him there wandering around in the lot and lo and behold, he got sent to the X-ward at the vet college where I got to see him today. He's only a young rooster but he still goes "COCKADOODLEDOOOOOOOO" every time we open the door to the ward. He's like a guard rooster of sorts.

Crazy town this.

And that's pretty much from me for now.

We had our women's ministries "chocolate buffet and barbershop quartet" night at the church yesterday. I was complaining about having to bond with 40 year olds at the committee meetings but it was way worse last night cus they shoved me at a table with SIX, count them SIX, octogenarians. They talked to me about their grandchildren and nursing homes. I just smiled and kept refilling their coffee (decafe of course but I was sorely tempted to give em caffeinated just to screw with their pacemakers).

Luckily, they all left early and I was allowed to wash dishes in the kitchen with a 60-something year old drill sergeant disguising as a grandma in a pink cardigan who nearly had an embollism when she realised I was throwing away the unused cream instead of pouring it back into the cartons.

Then she made me wash all the candle holders . . . twice.

I got home eventually at about 9:45pm and was horribly exhausted. I checked my e-mail and it turns out that my class needs ideas for skits for our "Happy hour" halloween party which we are hosting. We have to make a video skit for everyday of the week leading up to the friday of our happy hour and so far, we only have two out of the five skits made.

I'm already participating in one skit where we are re-enacting Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video (Joanne, all that practicing we did as kids is paying off!) and I get to be one of the ghouls coming out of a hay bale somewhere by the vet college's farm yard and then I get to learn and do the Thriller dance! Just like in "Thirteen going on Thirty"! Wheeeeee!

I also had another idea for a skit where some guy dressed up in a cow suit would run around like a superhero and save people. He'd be called "UDDERMAN" and I wrote up a whle theme song to the tune of the 'Spiderman' 70s cartoon theme going "Udderman! Udderman! Does whatever a Holstein can!"

I have the whole song written out of which my favorite line is "Is he strong? Listen bud. He's got radioactive cud!"

That sort of thing.

Unfortuantely, I think that idea is kind of stupid and could have been the sad result of an overload of chocolate and decaf coffee last night. I was trying to tell the guy in my class who is organising the skits today about "Udderman" but i was too embarassed to go through with it and ended up going "I'll tell you later" and ran off like Napoleon Dynamite after his dance.

Sigh.

I need sleep.

And that is all from me for now.

Much more to report but I'm sure neither you nor I want to sit through typing or reading it all out. I chaired my first Student's Association meeting tonight and it went perfectly fine. Yay!

Ok. Take care everyone and don't forget to take your vitamins!
And next time you're at Walmart, make sure you don't run over any roosters.

Adios amigos!

PS: Got to look at a dead cat with a giant liver today. Kinda cool in a morbid way. Wasn't so fresh anymore, but I think I'm getting used to the smell.
PPS: My pathology prof is British and sounds exactly like Stewie from "Family guy"

I want to see the lyrics of this so-called Udderman Theme.
As a dutiful sister, I refuse to support you in anything unless I can be sure you wont bring dishonour on me and our entire family (re:your experimental cooking gave us all the runs).
P.S. Please don't tell me you want to adopt this rooster.
